Asthma clinic

We have specially trained practice nurses who regularly review all asthmatics.

Minor surgery services, including joint injections

Minor surgery is performed at the practice. If you think you may need minor surgery please speak to a member of the Patient Services Team to make an appointment. You may be asked to attend a routine appointment to see a clinician first to confirm that minor surgery is suitable.

Maternity medical services

Please contact the practice for details of your local antenatal clinic as soon as pregnancy is confirmed.

Immunisations (Children)

You will receive a letter from the Health Authority or the Practice to inform you when your child needs to have their immunisations, please telephone the practice to arrange an appointment.

Immunisations can be booked in with the practice nurse for an appointment in their childhood immunisation clinics.

Cervical Screening Tests (previously known as "smears")

We recommend that ladies between 25 and 49 years old have a 3 yearly screening test, and those between 50 and 64 years of age have a 5 yearly test. This is a quick and painless procedure. Tests are usually performed by the practice nurse and an appointment is required. There is more information here.

Child Health Surveillance Services for children aged 6 to 8 weeks

The Child Health Service Clinics are held by Dr Kingston and Dr Hogan alongside the Health Visitors. These are for children aged between 6 to 8 weeks; you will be contacted by the Practice to arrange this appointment. If you do not hear from the Practice by the time your child is 8 weeks old please telephone the practice to arrange an appointment.

Travel Vaccinations

If travelling abroad vaccinations may be required. The Practice Nurse will be able to advise you which vaccinations you require depending on your destination. Please allow up to 8 weeks’ notice - this gives us chance to order the necessary vaccines from the manufacturer and also for them to take effect before you travel. Hope Farm Medical Centre is a designated Yellow Fever Centre.

Vasectomy (self-referral)

Call the appointments hotline on 0300 247 0020 to book your appointment, no referral or prior GP appointment is required. The service is run by HCRG Care Group on behalf of Cheshire West and Chester Integrated Sexual Health Service.
